Too many wonderful things to say about Shana Harris ‘92, but consider that she has personally had a hand in preparing hundreds of students and families from NYC prepare for the academic journey she once took herself to a New England prep school. She has personally helped more than 60 youngsters get ready for Exeter and seen them through preparation, admission, graduation, and beyond into university.
We caught up and it was a privilege and honor to learn about the impact Shana has had on all the kids and families she’s supported. In addition, I got a huge kick out of hearing how PEA is different now for kids like her daughter, who’s practically Shana’s twin in every way — from those round glasses and beaming smile to living in Dunbar as a four year senior. How cute is that?
Shana’s journey as an educator and social worker exemplifies so much knowledge and goodness. If you’re curious about the evolution of the Academy, all kinds of things have changed (for the better) and Shana will tell you all about it. I still want dress code back though. Everything else that’s changed is cool, but bring back the coat and tie I say.
I hope you enjoy watching and/or listening.
Cheers,
Veev
